On August 9, 2012, I’ll be speaking at the 8th Circuit Social Security Disability Conference. The conference is sponsored by the Iowa State Bar Association. It will be held at Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Altoona, IA
My co-presenter will be Mr. H. Edwin Detlie as we speak on “Case Map,” a program to assist in the preparation for a disability case before an Administrative Law Judge and other matters.
Mr. Detlie, an attorney, is Past President of the Iowa Association of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers, Inc. (2004-5). His practice is limited to Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability/SSI appeals. While he has practiced law in Ottumwa, Iowa since 1982, he also has a second law office in Dexter, Iowa, just west of Des Moines.
It happens, sometimes, that a person will have more than one person as their lawyer on a Social Security Disability case. There can be many reasons. A common example is that the disabled person moves to another state before the case is finished.
